In the eighteen years of my professional career as a military member, I have been
involved in a wide variety of incident of stress; from frequent family relocations, frequent or
pro granded, deployment and short-notice TADs, long and irregular duty hours, and difficulty
sharing home and childcare responsibilities. The conk incident I had to privilege of a defusing
was an intoxicant re posthumousd to incident. Alcohol, even if consumed in small quantities, can impair your
judgment. The naval forces has developed a form _or_ system of government for the responsible use of alcohol. The Navys
policy on alcohol use is accountable Use, which leaves it up to the Sailor whether he/she will
consume alcohol or not. Responsible use means that Sailors are to control themselves when
drinking alcohol. I was drunk is not a valid excuse for arriving late for duty, violent acts
committed under the influence, acts of sexual harassment or violence, and other incidents
resulting in personal injury or stead damage.
The USS Spruances port visit to Toulon, France had a number of spartan incidents
involving alcohol.

five instances of sailors being intemperately intoxicated in which to include one of my junior sailors.
As the Leading Petty Officer of Postal Division, I had to brief my Executive Officer on a plan of
execution to defuse the situation in regards to my junior sailor. The first quality I was task to counsel
my junior sailor on the cogitate alcohol incident. An alcohol incident is an offense, punishable
under the UCMJ or noncombatant laws, committed by a member, to which, the judgment of the
