Introduction to Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone is located in Western Africa, eludeing the North Atlantic Ocean with a coastline of 402 km (249.24 miles); its borders are between Guinea in which it shares 652 km (404.24miles) border and Liberia in which it shares a 306 km (190 miles) border. It is slightly smaller than the pass on South Carolina with a total land mass of 958 km (593.96 miles). Its geography features are mangrove swamps lying along the coast, with timbered hills and a plateau in the interior. The eastern region is mountainous. Its typical weather is tropical and hot, humid, summer and also has a rainy season (May to December); winter is the dry season (December to April).
