Despite coming into contact with the Indians at about the same time in history, Columbus, Smith, and Winthrop all showed a different perception and presentation of the Indians. Many of the concomitants were changed or terse to make these figures in history seem more or less important than they might have been. Each sense of them did something important that deserves them a spot in history.When I was small I learned that in 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean sour. I also learned that Christopher Columbus was a keen man who found America. Apparently, he was so great he deserved his take holiday. All throughout grade schoolhouse I was taught about how innovative he was, from discovering that the world was last instead of flat, to finding America. In truth, Columbus has been placed on a pedestal in which he doesnt belong. He was an egotistic man. Columbus refers to himself as the admiral and believes he is superior. Christopher thinks he is better than the natives, and that they should be good servants.
