Employee performance is directly influenced by job satisfaction and motivation towards work in the following ways: Job satisfaction It is critical for an employee to be happy with their current job and responsibilities as this encourages the individual to remain more focused and perform better at their job. This makes it important for the HR manager to investigate the candidate's interest during the interview so as to determine the reasons linked them applying for the position(Wicker Wicker, 2011). Preferences should be given to candidates applying for the position as a result of interest as they are likely to focus more attention on their responsibilities which would help improve the individuals performance. Need Satisfaction Need satisfaction refers to each employee needs whereby each individual will have a basic set of needs which must be accommodated so they can be satisfied. This makes it important to evaluate the individual's needs and requirement and compensate their accordingly which would allow them to focus their full attention towards their job responsibilities(Chmiel, 2017). This will in turn automatically improve the individuals performance and help boost contributions and outputs towards the organization thus making them a more valuable asset for the business. Access to Practical experience and on job learning Human resource management studies show that many young professionals come from wealthy backgrounds making financial compensation a secondary requirement. In many situations, the individuals are looking to secure important practical experience and access to job learning opportunities. This makes it important for the employer to provide diverse working conditions which will help expose the staff to the widest variety of job roles thus building their experience portfolio. This increases the individual's experience and competency to handle more jobs thus opening up a wider verity of jobs that can be applied for and making them more secure(McCauley, 2006). Its also important to offer learning opportunities and courses the staff can participate in since many professionals want to continue expanding their knowledge and learning while on the job thus will prefer remaining with an organisation which offers these opportunities. Balance between productivity and quality While working as part of a large team, different individuals will have their own work ethics where some will focus on quantity while others will focus more towards quality. It is important to evaluate the employees ethics so as to determine the individuals preferences before setting productivity targets. Over press ringing employees could have a negative effect on their productivity and quality thus its vital each staff members targets are based on their focus of interest but at the same time maintaining a balance thus helping maintain high productivity and quality at all times(Edosomwan, 1995). Workplace Discipline Discipline is another important factor linked to promoting employee performance since themanagement must be able to set a strict code of on dust and ensure the same is being followed by all employees(Sekgobela, 2015). Again its common to find certain employees adhering to the set policies and others simply ignoring the guiltiness which results in discouraging the obedient staff. This makes it important to re-enforce the policies and ensure every staff member follows a strict code of conduct and discipline which will help motivate staff and help boost performance. Dynamism in motivation Motivation is critical towards boosting morale but its important to encourage dynamism in motivation since the form of motivation should be of interest and actually boost the individuals interest and focus towards the reward. Its important the motivational rewards thus take the shape of different interest, gifts and other aspects which an individual staff member may have a close interest to. This makes it important to determine each individuals motivational driver and use it as an effective tool towards boosting the individuals performance and overall organizational growth and profitability(Shepherd, 2016). Conclusion Encouraging employee performance involves combining a verity of aspects linked to the staff interests which the organizations must organize and deliver. This helps demonstrate the organization's commitment towards delivering on employee expectations and needs thus helping win their confidence and build their motivation this automatically helps boost overall performance, productivity and profits.
